Teams for the 2014-15 School Year

As the year winds down we have set the teams for next year and I will be placing students on the teams in the coming weeks.  I have had a number of requests to know who the teachers are on each team and wanted to let everyone know the plan for MMS for next year.

Our leadership team has worked hard this year to look at the experiences we had this year and the transition to MMS from the elementary school to find a structure that works best as we continue to work to meet the needs of every student every day.  We have decided that we are going to have two 6th grade teams next year and five 7-8 multiage teams.  This decision was made so that we can work with students as they transition to middle school and then benefit from the multi-age approach during their 7th and 8th grade years as the students loop with their teachers. The plan for this year is to try to keep many of our current students with their teachers going into next year.  In order to balance the teams this year some of our students will be moving teams.  I will be sending out team placements later in the summer. The teams are listed below.
