Hello everyone. Thank you all for viewing the posts and following me. At the moment this seems to be a well received approach for communication. Here are a few things that are coming up next week.
The swim season is getting ready to kick off! The MMS swim team is open to all MMS students of all swimming abilities so I would encourage students to get involved. The first meeting will occur on Monday, Feb 6 at 2:45 till 3:30 in room 229. Swim practices are on Monday and Wednesday from 4:00-5:00 at the Alfond Youth Center. The team meets before each practice at 2:45 in room 229. Most of the swim meets (except one Thursday meet on March 15) are on Fridays from 3:30-5:00. The whole season runs during February and March. Parents, please encourage your child to get involved at MMS.
Next week is National School Counselors week. It is a time for us to recognize all the support that Ms. Bradshaw and Ms. Croteau give to the staff students and parents of Messalonskee Middle School.
There is a 5th and 6th grade Fun Night at MMS on Friday, February 10 from 6:00-9:00. The gym will be open and there will be dancing in the cafeteria. If you are interested in helping out with this event, please contact our School Resource Officer, Dusty Woodside. Proceeds from the event go to our DARE program and our 6th grade class.
Our Superintendent, Gary Smith shared this quote with me and I liked it so much I decided to send it out to all of you.
“The greatest discovery you’ll ever make, is the potential of your own mind.” – Jose Silva
Enjoy the weekend!
